ALBUM REVIEW - Glass Spells’ “Crystals”
Annsley “AJ” Jennings - @annsleymedia
Looking for some cool, new music to listen to? Look no further.
Synth Pop band Glass Spells has released a new album titled Crystals with eight beautifully mysterious songs on the record. It was released on July 18th of this year.
Glass Spells, as aforementioned, is a synth pop duo from San Diego, California. The duo consists of lead singer Tania Costello and instrumentalist Anthony Ramirez. Crystals is their sophomore album following 2021’s Shattered that had kick ass songs such as Fears and We Never Sleep on it.
Crystals: A Review
This album has an extremely beautiful and melancholic vibe to it that I absolutely love. The somber vocals are everything and more, mixing well with the synth tone of music. The album, as stated earlier, has eight tracks to it.
Without You
Venom
Glow
Before Dawn
Crystals
Consequences
Hechizos
Haunting
My two favorites off of this album are Without You and Glow. Without You has one of the msot enchanting sounds I’ve ever heard along with a ridiculously cool music video that I implore you to check out. My favorite lyrics would have to be “Love me til the world collides, Hold me til I touch the sky”.
Glow, on the other hand, has more deeper feelings engrained into it with an insane scream thrown in the mix that I loved.
I absolutely love Glass Spells and so will you! Go check them out, I am sure you won’t regret it. After the release of Crystals, you can find them playing cities such as Seattle, Dallas, Oklahoma City, and others in the coming months.
